It's Boss's Day! Thanks to all the outstanding leaders across PCSSD! Did you know Boss’s Day was initiated by a State Farm Insurance employee in Illinois in 1958? October 16 was chosen to coincide with her father’s birthday, who was also her boss.

It's Down Syndrome Awareness Month! Every October, we have the chance to celebrate and empower our students with Down syndrome. #pcssdproud #serveall

Baker's very own Jace Perry is raising awareness about dwarfism as a published author! With the help of his mom, Jace recently wrote a book called "Jace Steps Up" where he talks about living with dwarfism. He wants to encourage others to accept differences and not make fun of people because of their size. Check out his book to find how those with dwarfism can conquer simple everyday tasks while being small: https://jacestepsup.com/
Way to go, Jace!

Our first graders are learning all about collecting and graphing data! For this delicious activity, they voted on their favorite snacks! Sour Gummy Worm FTW!

Sorry not sorry, Mr. Staswick's room smelled like cabbage and vinegar last Thursday. Students in 5th grade are learning to construct experiments and gather data to determine if unknown substances are acidic. 🧑🔬

BAKER’s Dr. Essel remembers a great teacher. “I was moved from my K class to a GT Class (which was great), but I missed Mrs. Jackson. In 3rd grade, I got her again. She made me feel like a long lost relative & it was one of my favorite years of elementary!” #pcssdproud #serveall
